This economy...

I came into work today knowing that it would be one of those days I've hated since I started my professional career. I've worked for my company for 13 years this year, and most days I love my job, the people I work with and for. Today though, is a day where layoffs will take many of my friends. We've lost some very talented and dedicated people today.
So far, I've lost more than 2 dozen friends to this economy today alone, not counting the countless others in past reductions. To those who have been affected, god bless and I am sure you will recover from this. Day's like today are hard for anyone involved, but not nearly as tough for those who need to go home to their families and deal with the aftermath of these decisions.
My heart goes out to everyone who has some tough roads ahead.
