Well, this weekend started with a thud... Friday I had to let go a very good employee due to the ongoing issues with the economy. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do and it just exhausted me. I've let people go before and fired people but that has always been for a good reason and while it bothered me, not like this. I hope soon that this economy turns around and that he finds a job quickly. More signs of the economy is I'm starting to get calls from several friends (who are not techies) to fix their computers. I thought I was out of that business, but it's cool I can help out.
On a brighter note, I got to see my step-daughter (not sure I can still call her that seeing her mom and I are getting divorced) in Willy Wanka at the local theater. She was very cute and although not a big role, she did a good job. I also got to catch up with my 'in-laws' which was nice. I haven't really talked to them once this whole thing started with their daughter. I'll be posting the pictures on my Flickr page, so check them out!
My girls were with their mom this weekend snowmobiling. I got to talk to them tonight and they had a great weekend from the sounds of it and no accidents, so that makes me happy. I'm not a fan of them going on them, but that's me. I miss them a lot... It's hard not having them home, but Wednesday is right around the corner!
I got the girls signed up for dance! One will be doing ballet and the other hip-hop. I'm looking forward to it this year. Just not the costumes, dear god! they are expensive this year!! Well, one way or the other I'll get them paid for.
May 1st is coming fast, on this day the camper opens! They have already started to count down for it! I just hope before ice-out, I can get out for at least one ice-fishing trip. It's been a few years since I've gone and I'm ready to get out. Just have to pick a weekend and go!
Well, that's it from me. Until next time.
